Symptoms: Emotional blunting, sexual dysfunction, suicidal ideation, anhedonia
I went to a psychiatrist after my first panic attack. This attack was followed by slowly growing depression and anxiety over 3–4 years, with major suicidal thoughts. I went to a psychiatrist, and after a short talk with no tests he prescribed me sertraline, which I took for 2 years. I changed doctors on my way due to their low availability. The first doctor never mentioned anything about possible side effects. The second one prescribed bupropion to help with my libido drop. As long as I took it alongside sertraline, it helped.
After I tapered medications, my suicidal thoughts came back stronger than ever. My sex life has been ruined. I feel almost no joy in my life. I think sertraline helped me in the beginning, but I was not aware of the potential cost in the future.
Sorry if my English is not perfect. It's not my first language. God bless you all.
