Hope

A message for those who have been harmed

A Message from Mikhaila

To whoever is unfortunately reading this website, please do not lose hope. A lot of the information on here and the stories are heartbreaking but there are definitely ways to mitigate neurological injuries. People who have been injured need to be open to trying everything. For me, I had about 2.5 years of disability from psych med withdrawal (from SSRIs), and I was only able to control my symptoms with a strict plant-free ketogenic diet. This was after severe autoimmunity and crippling depression from age 2-23. Neurological injury left me with the strangest new severe sensitivities. Mostly dietary (plants, even herbs, dairy, eggs), but also almost all supplements, medications, vitamins, preservatives, and chemicals. Avoiding triggers put my autoimmunity and mental illness in remission, and then treated the neurological injury (although that's been the longest lasting thing to treat).

While I am healthy and happy, I still have most of these sensitivities. They are less severe than they were, by a large amount, but they still exist. It's been 11 years since I stopped SSRIs. I am more than happy to live my life, my children are healthy and happy, and these restrictions are nothing in order to live with no mental illness or neurological symptoms. But I also do live very carefully. I travel carefully. I do not test things out on myself without being aware and extremely careful with it.

So to those that have been injured, and their family members: there are ways to mitigate the severity of symptoms that should be attempted. Ketosis is one of those therapies (metabolicmind.com for information on this). A plant-free ketogenic (carnivore) diet is what even more sensitive people should try. I have free info at liondiet.com including how to make your home non-toxic. Making sure your environment is clear of toxins (make sure soaps, shampoos, toothpastes, and detergents are non-toxic), avoid fragrances, avoid down in furniture, and keep a very close eye on air quality. Air quality info is at biotoxin.com, also free, and that should be taken just as seriously as avoiding environmental and food triggers.

I survive and live a good life by avoiding triggers. Some people normalize without needing to be that strict. But before losing hope, making sure you've tried to avoid anything that can provoke a neurological injury, like those triggers that I listed above. It is definitely the only way I stay okay.

I didn't build this website to scare people into losing hope. You can get through this; there are tools you probably haven't tried that you can try that have worked for me, and time also helps the majority of people. I built this website to get the medical community and government to pay attention, and to give those harmed and voiceless people a voice.

Love,
Mikhaila
